OUR VISION

Who we are

We are a group of Zimbabwean women who share a vision to live in a world that is kind to everyone. Our mission is to promote the well-being of women who are incarcerated within the Zimbabwean prison system at the various stages of the forensic process. This includes women on bail in the community as well. We aim to encourage society at large to perceive offenders as worthy individuals and not to define them only as criminals. We share the views of the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) that it is more important to rehabilitate offenders than just to punish and release. We work towards this vision in partnership with others, private and corporate who share these aims and care to change lives in the same way.

What we do

We support government initiatives to rehabilitate offenders by funding or promoting others to fund activities to support mental well-being and to empower female offenders to make better choices.

We prioritise the welfare of the young children who, from a lack of provision, are required to begin their childhood inside prison with their mothers by occasionally donating food and supplementing dietary needs and promoting funding for equipment and toys to stimulate learning and play.
